Carlton announces judges for SEBTA 2010

Carlton Professional has announced the judging panel for SEBTA 2010.

Now in its fourth year, SEBTA offers students, colleges and lecturers the opportunity to celebrate excellence in electrotherapy in the beauty industry via this unique national student competition.

The panel includes Gerri Moore. Currently working for VTCT as Chief External Verifier for Beauty Therapy, Holistic and Sports Sectors, Gerri is responsible for a team of EVs who visit Centres throughout the Midlands, North, Jersey, the Republic of Ireland and Malta. In addition, she supports the development and expansion of International provision and qualifications, as well as sharing her considerable expertise in the beauty industry at exhibitions and with contacts and colleagues in various colleges and training centres.

Gerri’s experience includes working in Salons and a Health Farm, setting up two sections in Colleges and developing their courses. She has also developed training courses both as a training director for a company and for her own consultancy which includes giving lectures and demonstrations as well as lecturing and examining in Europe, USA and the Far East. Gerri was responsible for developing the first NVQs in Beauty Therapy as well as research and development into new diplomas and certificates.

Currently the Chairman for CIBTAC and BABTAC, Angela Bartlett, is passionate about education and maintaining high standards within it. Since qualifying as a beauty therapist and electrologist with the Higher Diploma in Beauty therapy in 1984 at Chichester College of Technology, Angela has been the Proprietor of a Beauty Clinic in Hampshire for 9 years, as well as more recently acting as an external assessor for the H.N.D beauty therapy course and part-time lecturer on the City and Guilds course at Chichester College of Technology. Additional roles include teaching in both FE and private training establishments, International examining for CIBTAC and writing for industry trade journals. She also has a successful therapy clinic.

The judging panel is completed by Natalie Dives, one of The Carlton Group’s Trainers.

The Student Electrotherapy Beauty Therapist Award (SEBTA) is open to all Level 3 students, or above, whatever their age. The competition is not exclusive to colleges using Carlton Professional equipment.
